Greetings…. This page provides information about applying for BEFC membership. You should have been referred to this page after submitting the ‘BEFC Membership Inquiry‘ form. If not, please click here and submit your name for membership first as it keeps a record of when you contacted us.

The Boeing Flight Incentive program was recently changed and as a result the number of inquiries to BEFC has greatly increased. To assist you (and us) in simplifying the process of on-boarding new members we are just placing the application here with our other documents and letting you manage submitting your application (as we can’t reasonably track 25 applicants at a time).

This page shows the steps you need to follow. If, after reading our info, you decide you are not yet ready that is fine you can just reapply again at a later date. Otherwise the application and our club documents are here for you. Feel free to reach out to the club Communications Officer, Treasurer, or President with questions.

To apply for BEFC membership you need to do the following:
(reach out to the club officers if you need anything or want an update on your status)

1. Download copies of the club’s By-Laws & Operating Rules. Take some time to read thru them and see how we work.

2. Make sure you good with the fees and deposit costs. View them here
3. Download and fill out the Member Application and Liability Release forms
   • Member Application <<<click
     • In most cases you should be applying as a General Member. Member types are made clear in the By-Laws, but if you are unsure just send us an email or call.
   • Liability Release <<<click
     • Print and Sign this form. Scan or take a picture and include with your application. We need a actual signature of this on file for Rec Services.
4. SEND the completed application and liability release forms to commofficer@befcstl.org
   • The Comm officer will take your application to the Board for approval.

5. Once approved…
   • The Treasurer will get with you about collecting your joining fee/deposit.
   • An account will be created for you in FlightCircle.com so you can have access to the club scheduling system
     • You must then set up the auto payment & put a credit card on file. (note this is managed by a transaction processing service. The CC info is not kept on either a BEFC or FC website)
6. Finally you need to attend an Operations Briefing in the hangar where we explain how things work, show you where everything is, give you the access codes to the hangar and the aircraft key box.

7. Once this is done you can then schedule a checkout flight with a CFI in an aircraft
   • Once a CFI gives the thumbs-up on your checkride and reports it to an officer, you can then schedule the plane as PIC

That should finish everything up and you are good to go.
